Oh Mercy leader Alex Gow is back from a recent stint overseas with some new material, as well as a couple of contributions to a new Arthur Russell tribute record.

Gow features on Red Hot + Arthur Russell, a collection of tracks in celebration of the lauded music composer's life, including a cover of one of Russell's songs Planted A Thought. Gow has just released a more stripped back version of his cover, which you can check out below.

The Oh Mercy frontman is also gearing up to play a couple of shows alongside Something For Kate leader Paul Dempsey next month. Gow will open for Dempsey at shows in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne and tickets are available now. Details can be found in theGuide and The Music App.
