Hear Janelle Monáe's New Single, Feat. Erykah Badu

The ArchAndroid, the debut LP from neo soul diva Janelle Monáe was one of 2010's most highly acclaimed albums, and today we hear the first taste of how she will follow up that monumental creative success with a brand new single.

Q.U.E.E.N. is the name of Monáe's newest track and as if her return wasn't exciting enough, it features an incredible guest appearance from the incomparable Erykah Badu.

She may not have released a single on her own in a few years, but she has gained more and more supporters in that time, largely thanks to her appearance on the smash hit We Are Young. The 2011 single went five times platinum in Australia and topped charts the world over.

This gif (WARNING: it's around 4mb) suggests the new record will be called The Electric Lady, but that's about all we know at this point in time.

By the way this new song ends so abruptly, we could well be in for another sweeping conceptual LP from Monáe; The ArchAndroid featured large suites of material that saw songs run into each other without pause.
