Hosted by Channel 9, in addition to the punters, people rushed to donate money online with Today reporting the number of donations caused a website crash at one point.

The money raised will be donated to Rural Aid to buy hay and water, and provide financial assistance for those who need it most.

“Farmers are the backbone of this country,” Farnham said when he was announced on the line-up in October. “I understand what they are going through. They are doing it tough through this drought. Not only do we want to help out, we want to show them that they have our support.”
