US alternative/indie Have Mercy outift have announced that their drummer, Todd Wallace, is no longer a part of the band.
The band revealed the drummer's departure to their fans through social media and their official website with the following statement.
"Hey, it’s Brian from Have Mercy. It’s sad to say but our drummer Todd Wallace has decided to part ways with the band. In no way is there any animosity or anger. There’s a point in everyone’s life where you need to decide what’s best for your future and the future of those around you. We respect Todd’s decision and he will be missed.
A statement from Todd is below…
“My time with Have Mercy has been nothing short of a dream come true. But, after countless nights of trying to figure out what’s best for my future I’ve came to the decision of having to leave the band. I’m so grateful for all of the opportunities I was given. I owe Brian, Nick, and Andrew the world for bringing me on this journey with them. I’ve met some incredible people that I hope to see all of you again, whether it’s bands we toured with, the people at Hopeless Records, Synergy, Big Picture Media, APA Agency, and a bunch of others, let’s keep in touch. Lastly, the Have Mercy fans. You guys are one of a kind. You made this all worth it being the coolest and most loyal fans a band could ask for. Keep giving your support to this band to keep the drive going. Thank you, Todd Wallace.”
With that said, we are still touring in the Fall with Transit, Somos and Microwave. We have no plans on finding a permanent new drummer yet but our longtime friend Ian Bell will be filling in for the Fall. See you guys then!"
Wallace drummed on the band's last effort, 'A Place Of Our Own', and you can check out the lead single from that album, 'Howl', below.
