Brisbane designer Rachel Burke has been commissioned to design a "birthday suit" for the global pop superstar Harry Styles

Burke's style is recognised for its colourful nature and captured the attention of the American venue, Acrisure Elite Arena in Palm Springs, California, where Styles celebrated his 29th birthday earlier this week.

She appeared on the Today show this morning to discuss the opportunity of a lifetime. "Maybe a month ago, I had this email arrive in my Inbox and it said 'Harry Styles birthday suit,'" she told the Today hosts Karl Stefanovic and Sarah Abo.

She added, "Harry Styles was performing in Palm Springs for his birthday and I was commissioned to make him a birthday gift."

Burke commented further to the ABC that she didn't have much time to create the outfit, but her resilience and experience in building a DIY business won out. "I didn't have a very long lead time, I had to get it done in a week, I just worked day and night because I'm totally independent," she said.

Burke also teased a red carpet appearance that will showcase her designs: "You might see something at the Grammys next week, too, which is very exciting."

Last week, Harry Styles experienced a wardrobe malfunction in front of his first celebrity crush, Jennifer Aniston, who had a front-row ticket with a view.

Performing his hit, Music For A Sushi Restaurant (which peaked at #4 on the ARIA Singles Chart), Styles slid down on his knees when a huge hole ripped around his crotch area. While he looked down with a touch of exasperation, he moved on with a laugh and covered the hole by wrapping a Pride flag around his waist.

Watching from a front-row seat was Jennifer Aniston, who Styles confirmed was his first celebrity crush during a round of Burning Questions on The Ellen Show. The singer later acknowledged the incident, commenting, "My trousers ripped. I feel I must apologise to a certain few of you right down in the front there. I mean, this is a family show... Or is it?"

As It Was, the first single of this album cycle, spent eight weeks at #1 in Australia; Harry's House stayed atop the charts for eight weeks.

Harry's House was one of the shortlisted albums for the Mercury Prize Music Award, the UK's most prestigious music award. The shortlisted candidates were all first-time picks, with Wet Leg, Sam Fender, Little Simz, Joy Crookes, Yard Act, and Self Esteem among the nominees. Little Simz ultimately won the award for her fourth album; Sometimes I Might Be An Introvert.
