"I’m heartbroken along with the people of Copenhagen. I adore this city. The people are so warm and full of love."

Harry Styles has cancelled a show in Copenhagen after a fatal shooting occurred in a nearby shopping centre. The pop-superstar and ARIA record breaking artist was set to take the stage at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen on Sunday night as a part of his Love On Tour shows.

During the day, Police confirmed that several people were killed with others injured at a nearby shopping centre near the arena, with a 22-year-old man arrested after being detained near the site.

Large crowds had already gathered inside of the arena before the show was cancelled and fans were asked to leave. Acts such as Pearl Jam and Queen + Adam Lambert are set to perform at the venue in the next couple of weeks.

After the cancellation, Styles took to Twitter to address his fans, many who have been left disappointed. "I’m heartbroken along with the people of Copenhagen. I adore this city. The people are so warm and full of love.

"I’m devastated for the victims, their families, and everyone hurting. I’m sorry we couldn’t be together. Please look after each other. H."
