More Hard-Ons More Hard-Ons

Homegrown punk rock legends Hard-Ons are preparing to celebrate their 40th anniversary, and they want you to join in on the fun.

It’s all happening for the Hard-Ons, with the band surprise dropping a new single, Buzz Buzz Buzz, today and the announcement that they’re the subject of a forthcoming documentary, The Most Australian Band Ever, to premiere at SXSW Sydney on Wednesday, 16 October.

The 13-date tour will begin in Brisbane and end with a performance at Adelaide’s Froth & Fury Festival, with dates in Sussex Inlet, Wollongong, Sydney, Newcastle, Hobart, Melbourne, Frankston, Castlemaine, Geelong, Perth, and Scarborough in between.

The fast-paced tour will begin on Friday, 18 October, and conclude on Saturday, 9 November. All dates and venues are listed below. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here.

The current band line-up comprising original members Peter BlackieBlack (guitar) and bassist and backing vocalist Ray Ahn, the group is rounded out by drummer Murray Ruse and singer Tim Rogers. You know you’ll be in for a good time at these shows.

Earlier this month, the Hard-Ons opened for Radio Birdman on their massive 5-0 Australian tour and will join the Hoodoo Gurus on tour from November through to February 2025.

Last year, Hard-Ons released their 14th album, Ripper ’23, the follow-up to I'm Sorry Sir, That Riff's Been Taken, the band’s ARIA #4 album released in 2021.

“In terms of doing the music, we’ve always been pushing forward and trying things, seeing what sounds good and what doesn’t, so I didn’t really have to change anything,” Black told The Music’s Steve Bell in an interview last year. “Having Tim join is just fucking awesome - it’s just extra arsenal, really - but what made me pinch myself was that we could do these songs knowing that we had a singer of his capabilities, which let us flex a little bit more.”

You can watch Hard-Ons flex their capabilities on the following dates:
