Hans Zimmer Announces 2026 Australian Tour Dates

Iconic German composer Hans Zimmer is making his return to Australia next year, announcing the local leg of his The Next Level world tour.

The visionary new arena production will see the multiple Oscar and Grammy-winning composer pushing the boundaries of sound, staging, and scale once more.

The forthcoming Australian trek will be Zimmer’s first since 2025, and sees him kicking things off in Perth on October 12th, before visiting Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney over the coming weeks.

Zimmer's The Next Level tour features a newly designed, striking architectural stage concept, and offering a powerful blending of electronic sound and impactful orchestration. The result is a live undertaking which cements Zimmer’s approach to continually evolving his sound and vision, while continuing to push artistic boundaries.

“This show represents the next evolution of how film music can be experienced live,” Zimmer explains.

“I want fans to feel like they’re at a rave party or riding a roller coaster. For me, every show is a new voyage of discovery. The greatest challenge is the status quo – you have to do everything in your power to leave it behind and find and create something new.”

Zimmer launched his career in the '70s, working with numerous bands before entering the world of film and score composition. To date, he's won two Academy Awards (for The Lion King in 1995, and Dune in 2022) from 12 nominations, alongside five Grammy Awards from his 24 nominations.

His acclaimed body of work includes scores for films such as Gladiator, Pirates Of The Carribbean, Interstellar, Inception, and The Dark Knight trilogy.

Tickets to Zimmer’s upcoming tour go on sale from 2pm local time on Wednesday, June 3rd, with a Frontier Touring presale launching at 1pm local time on Tuesday, June 2nd, and runs for 24 hours.
