HalseyAmerican indie pop star Halsey shocked fans at Brisbane’s Riverstage last night (17 February), when, for the first time on her Badlands 10th anniversary tour of Australia, she invited special guests on stage.
The spectacular moments occurred towards the end of Halsey’s set. Already 24 songs into the evening, the Without Me singer asked the devoted Brisbane audience to “please stand for the National Anthem,” per Australian music creator and journalist Charlie Poynton (aka charlieintherain). Without further ado, The Veronicas took to the stage, and together with Halsey, they performed Untouched.
If fans thought they’d already experienced an unexpected treat, Halsey surprised them once more during the encore by inviting Kesha—currently in Australia on her Tits Out Tour—to the Riverstage to perform Your Love Is My Drug.

After the surprise performances, The Veronicas took to Instagram and shared a short reel of themselves, Halsey, and Kesha. The Aussie duo captioned the post, “YOUR NEW FAVOURITE GIRL GROUP. @iamhalsey @kesha welcome to Australia.”

Following her Brisbane show, Halsey’s Back To Badlands Tour concludes at Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Thursday (19 February) and Friday (20 February). Due to phenomenal demand, extra shows were added in Sydney and Melbourne.
Not only has Halsey revisited her seminal debut album, in which each song from the album is performed, but they also include songs from the rest of their discography. The tour marks Halsey’s first shows in Australia since appearing at the 2019/2020 Falls Festival.
Since her last visit to Australia, Halsey released the albums If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power—produced by Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross—in August 2021, and The Great Impersonator in October 2024.
Upon announcing the tour last September, Halsey wrote on social media: “A Badlands club tour. Tiny venues. GA floors. 10 years later. I’ve been waiting a decade to re-live it all over again with you.”
They added, “Badlands is an album I wrote about a terrifying and imprisoning state of mind. I was relieved and horrified to learn how many of you could relate. Ten years means 10 years that you’ve made it. You’ve done it. This day is for you and how far you have come.”
