Despite their rather obscure name — said to be an anagram for Nuclear Heath, a friend who could only cook microwave dinners — young New Zealand band Ha The Unclear have been plain and simple in their pursuit of greatness, announcing their maiden tour of Australia, set to take place throughout the month of February.

Largely unknown to the music world prior to their support role on Courtney Barnett’s New Zealand tour, the indie-folk quartet have since caught the attention of industry critics and notable publications as a result of their successful debut album release, Bacterium, Look At Your Motor Go, back in 2014.

The foursome’s catchy sound and quirky narrative continue to captivate and amuse their loyal followers and build their ever-growing fan base. Songs such as Secret Lives of Furniture and Growing Mould talk about the romantic life of a coffee table and a break up through intercom, respectively.

The tour will kick off on 19 February with a trio of shows in Victoria, followed up by a pair of dates in Adelaide, wrapping up on 27 February. Be sure to check theGuide for all the latest info.
