Gwen Stefani Is Open To Performing With No Doubt Again

It's the year of surprising news that we never knew we needed: Gwen Stefani hasn't ruled out a No Doubt reunion in the future.

In a new interview with The Wall Street Journal, the What You Waiting For singer told the publication, "What are the odds of anything? I was just on The Drew Barrymore Show. She was one of my favourite celebrities when I was a little girl, and now I was just on the show with her. Anything can happen."

She added, "I have no idea what’s going to happen with No Doubt. We haven’t really talked about doing anything, but it feels like everyone is, right? All the ’90s people — Blink-182 did an eight-month tour that sold out in like five minutes."

While it's not confirmation that a reunion is happening, it's not totally ruled out.

The last No Doubt album, Push & Shove, was released ten years after 2001's Rock Steady. During the band's hiatus, which began in 2003, Stefani released a string of solo albums, including Love. Angel. Music. Baby. (2004), which spawned the massive singles What You Waiting For, Hollaback Girl, Cool, and Rich Girl. Her second solo album, The Sweet Escape, was released in 2006 and featured the hit title track. Her third solo record, This Is What The Truth Feels Like, came out ten years later. 

Earlier this year, blink-182 finally ended months of rumours by announcing Tom DeLonge was back in the band, reuniting the classic lineup of Mark Hoppus, DeLonge, and Travis Barker.

Fans had been bracing for this news for some time, and speculation reached boiling point when blink-182 wiped their Instagram and updated their website to show only an animated version of their bunny logo, tapping his foot, with yellow banners reading "under construction" and bold text stating "hard at work, check back soon".

The band also updated all of their social media profile images to the smiley face logo from their greatest hits collection before the official blink-182 Twitter account started liking many Tweets from a decade ago, kicking up a bit of a Tweetstorm.

The hype intensified further when a series of billboards started to appear around the world stating, "your future is cumming, in the blink of an eye", with a link to the band's official website and an image that appeared to be a new blink-182 logo.

Following DeLonge's departure from the band for a second time in 2015, blink-182 released two full-length albums with Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba, 2016's California and 2019's Nine. 

We want a No Doubt reunion in 2023.
