Attacker operated under a cover name.
The man who stormed a Turkish nightclub during New Year's celebrations and gunned down 39 people has reportedly been caught by police.
According to ABC, the attacker has been identified as Abdulkadir Masharipov, who had operated under the cover name, Ebu Muhammed Horasani.
Masharipov was reportedly caught with his son during a police operation in Esenyurt late Monday night.
It was reported that the gunman, allegedly dressed as Santa, burst into the Reina nightclub on 1 January at 1.30am and opened fire.

As well as the 39 reported fatalities, 69 more punters were injured in the attack.
The Islamic State group have since claimed they are responsible for the shootings, saying the attack was revenge on Turkish military's involvement in neighbouring Syria.
Authorities are yet to comment on the capture of Masharipov.
