The multi-talented muso is heading back to Oz for a three-show stint later this month
Celebrated Aussie musician and Tame Impala/Pond member Jay Watson — aka GUM — is heading home following a successful sold-out sojourn in London and New York, announcing an east coast run of shows this month.
The talented multi-instrumentalist will have his surprise recent album Flash In The Pan in tow, the album having been recorded quietly at home over the past couple of years before landing in November to a warm and welcoming reception.
The album — his third in as many years, coming in the wake of 2014's debut Delorean Highway and 2015 sophomore Glamorous Damage — followed a pretty hectic period of activity for the performer, with 2016 taking him on tour with visiting troubadour Mac DeMarco along with appearing at King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard's self-started event, Gizzfest, before he headed overseas on his latest international jaunt.
GUM's east-coast tour kicks off in Melbourne at The Curtin on Thursday 30 March, with dates following in Brisbane and Sydney.
