Sing two pop mash-ups and call me in the morning.

Already a presence in Sydney, Melbourne (and shortly Brisbane) Adult Glee Club is set to spread on a national level, starting with a launch on 25 May at The Little Space in Bondi Junction.

Inspired by the hit TV show Glee, this community club started in 2012 in Sydney's Inner West as a less stuffy style of choir, introducing well-known mainstream music into their repertoire and performing at live music venues, open mic nights, Glee Goes Solo events and end of year concerts featuring a full band, lighting and stage production.

Apart from the positive social aspects, such as improved self-esteem and confidence, AGC also boasts that group choral activities can have added health benefits, citing recent studies showing that singing in a choir improves mental health, helps fight lung disease and cancer, boosts the immune system, and exercises the brain.
