Grouper Returns To Australia For One Show Only

The Portland drone/indie-folk artist is coming our way to play a single date in October.

It appears as if Portland's critically revered indie ambient/noise musician Grouper is making her way back to Australia soon, but by the looks of things she is not going to be here for very long.

For seven years Grouper has been playing folk-inclined music that is well left-of-centre, utilizing tape delays and reverb in a pretty extreme but always very tasteful manner. She has released a number of recordings, including this year's Violet Replacement, and has toured Australia a couple of times.

When she returns to our country in October, she'll play just the one show, at the Brisbane Powerhouse on Thursday 11 October. It is being billed as her only Australian show of 2012, so you might want to investigate a way to get to Queensland if you don't want to miss out.
