Grammy Nominee Jhené Aiko Announces 2016 Australian Headline Debut

The acclaimed songstress will play a series of shows early next year

Following the critical and commercial success of her debut album Souled Out (2014), Jhené Aiko will be making her way Down Under for a run of dates in February and March.

The Los Angeles-based chanteuse's vocals have been compared to the likes of R&B superstars such as Brandy Norwood, Ciara and Aliyah; while her style has been likened to Frank Ocean's new/alternative R&B.

One of the most anticipated R&B albums of 2014, Souled Out debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 and was the second highest debut for the week. The album went on to sell 70,000 copies that week. It would eventually hit the #1 spot on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop album charts.

Jhené Aiko will bring her breezy, often freestyle voice and lyrics to The Enmore Theatre in Sydney on Monday 29 February, Melbourne's The Forum on Tuesday 1 March, Brisbane's The Tivoli on Thursday March 3, and Perth's Metro City on Saturday March 5.
