American singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams officially launched her The Secret Of Us tour of Australia last night (2 May), playing her first of three shows in Sydney.
The tour arrives a year after making her triumphant Australian debut in January 2024. Since performing in theatres on that run, Abrams’ current tour sees her headlining sold-out arenas across the country.
Abrams played her first-ever show in New Zealand on Tuesday (29 April), and by the time she reached Sydney, the setlist had changed, per setlist.fm. In Sydney, she performed 21 tracks on the A and B-stages. The bulk of the set was pulled from her latest album, The Secret Of Us, which was released last June. A deluxe edition of the album was released in October 2024.
Upon its release, The Secret Of Us debuted at #1 in Australia. It spawned the singles Risk, Close To You, and I Love You, I’m Sorry, while the single That’s So True, from the album’s deluxe edition, topped the UK Singles Chart. The track us., meanwhile, starred one of Abrams’ inspirations, Taylor Swift.
With such a successful album to promote, it’s no surprise that Abrams is heavily plugging The Secret Of Us, with 14 tracks on the setlist for her Australian tour. However, there were still some surprises, including a cover of Natalie Imbruglia’s Torn and the return of Cool to the setlist.

Gracie Abrams’ The Secret Of Us tour continues in Sydney this weekend, followed by two dates at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, three dates at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, a show at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, and two shows at Perth’s RAC Arena. For the tour, Abrams is joined by special guest Ashe.
Reviewing Abrams’ show at Melbourne’s Forum last January, The Music’s Michael Prebeg described Abrams as “a fearless performer who wears her heart on her sleeve.”
Prebeg added that Abrams shared a “spellbinding collection” of music through “brutally honest and self-examining storytelling with a cinematic quality. She commands the stage in every way as she alternates between guitar, piano and pacing around from side to side with her microphone in hand.”
