Just when we thought his run was over...

More Gotye More Gotye

Just when we thought Gotye's highest peaks in the US charts were behind him, his album Making Mirrors has bulleted up to six on the Billboard 200. The album had slipped to 31 last week but had one if its strongest weeks in the chart to reach its highest point so far. It has now enjoyed 27 weeks in the chart.

His partner-in-crime Kimbra, who features on his hit Somebody That I Used To Know (currently holding at three on the US singles chart), has also enjoyed a strong week, with her album Vows jumping to 36 from the lowly 176. The album enjoyed a peak of 14 in an astonishingly strong debut week.

Elsewhere in the Billboard album rankings, Australian Christian releases have had a good week. Hillsong's Live Cornerstone, debuted at 32 while the built-in Christian market also promoted Newsboys' God's Not Dead back into the chart at 45 - its best position yet. On the Christian albums charts they're one and two, giving Australia dominance over the chart this week.

Regarding singles, Kylie Minogue has jumped up to four on the Dance/Club Play genre chart with Timebomb, which was at nine last week. She's joined in that chart by Australian female DJ duo Nervo whose You're Gonna Love Again was the highest debut this week at 43. Now based in London, they're one of the big hopes of EMI's new dance music network.

In the overall singles Hot 100, Sia's Titanium with David Guetta is up to seven from nine, and her Wild Ones with Flo Rida is up to 11 from 12. Havana Brown's We Run The Night with Pitbull dropped to 40 from its holding peak of 38 last week, although it is still listed as a bullet performer. This is its 15th week in the chart.

We've also spared a mention for Tame Impala, who are 35 in the Uncharted rankings – a global chart of bands who are yet to crack the Billboard charts based on streaming and radio figures amongst other things. Pushing towards a new album, last week they were at 48.
