Gold Coast Post-hardcore Math Lords Napoleonic Wars Unveil New Single & Launch Show

Catch them in the flesh at The Foundry next weekend!

Inventive, math-prone post-hardcore outfit Napoleonic Wars have just released a brand new split with their mates in Wollongong crew Basil's Kite, and with fresh goods in hand the Gold Coast five-piece is fixing to step out for their first major show since September last year with a launch show in Brisbane later this month.

Nap Wars' contribution to the split, Triple D-D_DANK, is a spasmodic, frenetic, furiously fun and eminently danceable piece of music determined to pick up your expectations of what post-hardcore can be and shake them to their core.

The tune carries evident echoes of acclaimed acts like The Fall Of Troy, The Blood Brothers and At The Drive In while nonetheless achieving an exciting and enticing aesthetic that is very much all their own, representing a very natural, encouraging evolution in their ever-maturing sound.

The band are currently working towards their upcoming concept studio album but, while the process continues on that release, they have very generously ushered Triple D-D_DANK — a B-Side cut that won't be appearing on that full-length — into the world as something of a stop-gap in the wake of last year's excellent debut EP, You Disgust Me, But I Can Relate, to help keep their growing fan base sated in the interim.
