The run of shows kicks off early December

Aussie post-punk upstarts Gold Class have been named as the national tour supports for the Thurston Moore Band's upcoming run of shows, with Melburnian outfit Harry Howard & The NDE joining the run for a single appearance in their home town.

Both acts have enjoyed a stellar year, with Gold Class rocketing to prominence in savvy circles off the back of their acclaimed showing at September's BIGSOUND Live showcase in Brisbane, as well as dropping their equally lauded debut full-length, It's You, through Spunk Records, which was launched at an absolutely packed-out The Tote, in Melbourne, back in October. They'll be a part of all three shows — Sydney (5 December), Brisbane (7 December) and Melbourne (10 December) — with Thurston's band when they're in the country in just over a month.

Meanwhile, veterans Harry Howard & The NDE — though only joining the party for the final show in Melbourne — have had a comparably solid year, having spent the last little while squirrelled away hard at work on their third full-length album, due to hit the market in March next year. Of course, Howard is no stranger to the scene, having been a member of Crime & The City Solution and These Immortal Souls, as well as a live performer for The Birthday Party, in his time. His current outfit — a fine pedigree if ever there were one, with members coming from various bands including The Moll Flanders and The Moodists — dropped their debut LP, Near Death Experience, in 2012, with follow-up effort Pretty manifesting the next year.
