Daniel Glass to speak before awarding of $30,000 prize
Daniel Glass, founder of one of the world's largest independent music companies Glassnote Entertainment Group, has today be announced as the guest speaker at The Coopers Amp winner's event.
The Amped Up In Conversation series kicked off last year with a keynote and Q&A session from veteran Rolling Stone journalist David Fricke.
Returning to Sydney's The Basement Thursday 7 March, the industry lunch will be attended by the nine short-listed artists who are up for the $30,000 PPCA-donated album prize. The final nine were announced recently at the Amp Alive event in Melbourne and the announcement will come following the luncheon.
Glass founded Glassnote in 2007 after executive stints with other labels – including EMI and Universal – and its roster currently boats Mumford & Sons, Phoenix, Childish Gambino, Two Door Cinema Club and Australians The Temper Trap (outside of Australasia).
