Triple J & Double J Announce International Women's Day Programming

Taking place this Friday.

Triple J and Double J have today announced the return of their Girls To The Front campaign in celebration of International Women's Day. 

Taking place this Friday 8 March, the stations will be "celebrating the achievements of all women by playing music made by women and curated by women all day long". 

Sally & Erica with Alice Matthews will take over the triple j Breakfast program, while Linda Marigliano is on Mornings, Lucy Smith on Lunch, Veronica & Friends including Odette, Jess Perkins & more in the afternoon. 

Hack will be hosted by Jo Lauder and journalist Ange McCormack will present her annual Women In Music report, which looks at the status of women in the music industry. Bridget Hustwaite continues hosting Good Nights, while special guest Alison Wonderland will host Friday Night Wonderland from 10pm.

French artist Christine & The Queens will join Zan Rowe for Take 5 on Double J Mornings, then Kate Ceberano and Kaiit will share an In Conversation chat about "their experiences of life and the music industry and their favourite tunes". 

Judith Lucy will take over Liquid Lunch, Karen Leng will present The Femmehouse, and Okenyo is set to host hip hop, soul & groove show Sky High.

Additionally, the day's music programming, which will be from female-identifying artists throughout the day, will be programmed by triple j’s Assistant Music Director Gemma Pike and Music Researcher/Producer Karla Ranby and Double J's Music Producer Dorothy Markek.
