Don't waste time, for real

South By Southwest (SXSW) is one of the world's best places to get noticed — and here's your chance. The Austin, Texas conference has opened earlybird submissions for the conference's 2017 event to strut your stuff at the ten-day event come March next year.

With a slew of Aussies this year like DMA'S, Stonefield, Harts, Pretty City and more showcasing the best that Australian music has to offer, Aussie representation at SXSW is growing year on year and given the talent on our shores, there's no reason for that to stop anytime soon.

SXSW's South Pacific representative Phil Tripp says, "This year we had more than 40 bands perform at SXSW and over 750 delegates from the Interactive, Film and Music industries. This compares to just 20 delegates and five bands attending when I started in 2002."

The earlybird submissions close on 9 September, after which submissions will cost $55 rather than the discounted rate of $35. It's a small price to pay to play in front of hundreds of record label execs, festival bigwigs and booking agents, all looking for the next big act.
