Genesis Owusu Announces 2026 'Red Star Wu’s Pirate Radio Tour'

Genesis Owusu is touring in support of his forthcoming third album, 'REDSTAR WU & THE WORLDWIDE SCOURGE.'

One of Australia’s most fearless artists, rapper and singer Genesis Owusu, is set to embark on a huge national tour this May.

Celebrating his just-announced, forthcoming third studio album, REDSTAR WU & THE WORLDWIDE SCOURGE – out on Friday, 15 May, via OURNESS – Owusu will take over some of the country’s most loved venues to accompany the exciting period.

The tour begins at Newcastle’s Bar On The Hill on Thursday, 14 May. Owusu will then celebrate the album’s release day in his hometown of Canberra at the UC Refectory on Friday, 15 May.

He’ll continue the shows at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Sunday, 17 May, Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Monday, 18 May, Melbourne’s Forum on Thursday, 21 May, Adelaide’s Thebarton Theatre on Saturday, 23 May, and concludes the run at Perth’s Ice Cream Factory on Tuesday, 26 May.

REDSTAR WU & THE WORLDWIDE SCOURGE is the third album from Genesis Owusu. The 15-track record finds the rapper and singer pouring emotion into his words throughout while pushing his sound forward with an experimental, unflinching, cohesive album.

Before the announcement of his new album, Owusu had unveiled energetic cuts such as PIRATE RADIO, DEATH CULT ZOMBIE, and STAMPEDE.

The music world was introduced to Owusu in 2021, following the release of his debut album, Smiling With No Teeth. His fierce debut captured the attention of the nation and the music industry, taking home the Australian Music Prize and, at the 2021 ARIA Awards, winning Album of the Year, Best Hip-Hop Release, and Best Independent Release.

In 2023, Owusu released his follow-up album, STRUGGLER, a bold concept album that collected additional ARIA Award wins. Internationally, he’s shared the stage with Tame Impala, Paramore, and IDLES and appeared at festivals such as Lollapalooza, Primavera Sound, Austin City Limits, and more.
