Renowned Chicago house master Gene Farris has announced a whirlwind three-date tour of Australia for next month, his first visit to the country in three years.

The Move Your Body hitmaker recently released his new album In The Screen, and he's ready to reacquaint himself with dancefloors Down Under from Friday 12 August, when he kicks off his local sojourn at Geisha, Perth.

The short trip also includes east-coast stops in Sydney — at Chinese Laundry, on Saturday 13 August — and Melbourne, where he plays his last show at Revolver on Sunday 14 August.

With a resume that stretches back more than 20 years and an accolades list as long as your arm, presuming you have abnormally large arms, there is very good reason that Farris is regarded as a global ambassador for, and authority on, all thing house, but if you're into house music then you already knew that.
