"People are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and are planning for the future."
Famous Melbourne live music The Gasometer Hotel is already receiving "a great deal of interest" after going up for sale earlier this month.
The Collingwood space's sale comes as all venues across the country are currently closed amidst the COVID pandemic, however CRE Brokers' Lloyd Nunn has told The Music that that hasn't slowed down enquiries.
"People are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and are planning for the future," Nunn said.
"The Gasometer Hotel as you are probably aware is a fantastic live music venue and all those that have shown real interest in the place seem to have the aim of continuing it as such. Of course I cannot guarantee that would be the case but such a purpose built set up lends it to not much else.
"Bands and bookings are just on hold and everyone is itching to get back in to the venue again.
"We just have to now wait to see when and how the restrictions are lifted and that will determine the relaunch of live music at the venue."
