Gang Of Youths To Perform At NRL Grand Final

In front of 80,000 + fans...

More Gang Of Youths Gang Of Youths Profile

Gang Of Youths have been confirmed as this year's pre-game entertainment at the NRL grand final.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the Sydney outfit will take to the stage at ANZ Stadium on 30 September in front of over 80,000 fans, while millions more are expected to tune in on TV.

"We're Sydney boys and footy has always been a significant part of our lives," frontman Dave Le'aupepe said.

"I'm a Souths fan and Samoan. I can't guarantee that the Rabbitohs will be there, but this will be a very proud moment for me and my family."

It comes after Macklemore performed at last year's grand final, which drew criticism in the build-up when the US rapper confirmed he would perform his equality anthem, Same Love.

During that time, the track soared up to #1 on the iTunes Singles chart while Macklemore's performance was widely praised.

Gang Of Youths' call up to the NRL grand final comes after they performed the premiere of Australia's first-ever MTV Unplugged, while they will also perform at Foo Fighters' Cal Jam festival in the US next month.

The band will return home in October for a huge headline tour. Scroll down for more details.
