The original line-up reunites for the first time in eight years!
It's been a long time coming for fans of old-school Philadelphia-bred blues/alt-hip-hop outfit G. Love & Special Sauce, whose original line-up revealed this morning that they will add a pair of sideshows to their Australian sojourn while in the country in April next year for Byron Bay Bluesfest.
More than two decades after founding members Garrett Dutton, Jeffrey Clemens and Jim Prescott came together to create their genre-transcending brand of stripped-back bluesy goodness, Aussie fans will have the chance once more to see the renowned trio in the flesh. The line-up hasn't played in this form since 2006, so you're in for something special when they hit the country with this year's full-length effort, Sugar, in tow.
If that's your sort of jam, you can catch 'em in Melbourne on Saturday, April 4, at the Thornbury Theatre, and Sydney on Sunday, April 5, at The Basement. Tickets for both gigs go on sale at 9am on Monday, October 13 — check the Gig Guide or The Music App for booking information.
