Just last night (July 30), G Flip treated Sydney (Eora) fans to a super intimate performance, where they announced they were teaming up with the BWS Cool Room to launch one of the most intriguing products we’ve heard of in a good while: BOX Alcoholic Juice, an adult-ified version of our favourite popper mixes from the good ol’ days.

The next chapter in the launch saga will take G Flip to Melbourne (Naarm), where they’ll take over the Moon Dog Craft Brewery on Friday September 13. Only a handful of lucky punters will able to hit the gig, with access limited to double passes you can only win through a competition – head here for all the info on how to get amongst it.

On the upcoming event, G Flip said in a press release: “I can’t wait to play this wild show in my hometown! Melbourne is my favourite place in the world, so it only felt right to celebrate the launch of my alcoholic juice BOX with an epic BWS Cool Room performance! I can’t wait to get on that stage, sip some BOX and smash some drums.”

The hype was echoed by An Le (head of brand marketing at BWS), who said in a separate statement, “G Flip is an exciting and iconic Australian artist, we are thrilled to host the Melbourne launch of their new brand, BOX inside the equally exciting and iconic BWS Cool Room inflatable fridge! The BWS Cool Room continues to prove itself as the ultimate money can’t buy experience allowing fans to get up close with their favourite artists for free.”

The BWS Cool Room has been well-established as one of Australia’s coolest sensory experiences, aptly described by the liquor giant as “an epic multi-sensory live music event inside a giant, purpose-built stage-come-fridge”. Last year saw Armani White make his Australian debut for the concert series, while FISHER kicked 2024 off with his first local gig in the Cool Room.

Meanwhile, G Flip was recently announced as one of the headliners for triple j’s One Night Stand comeback gig (alongside Ruel). It comes as part of a whirlwind stint they’ve been on since the release of their second album, DRUMMER – including a cover story on The Music, huge wins at the ARIAs and J Awards, collaborations with legends like Delta Goodrem and Mike Shinoda, and a shoutout from none other than Taylor Swift.
