Aussie songwriter G Flip (real name Georgia Flipo) has been announced as the latest recipient of the Levi's Music Prize.

The Melbourne multi-instrumentalist has scored $25,000 in cash plus an additional $5,000 in travel funds from Stage & Screen.

Now in its fourth year, the Levi's Music Prize provides opportunities for BIGSOUND artists (G Flip featured on the 2018 line-up) as they continue to build their careers internationally post-BIGSOUND.

"I’m so stoked, the money will go to getting my little arse around the world to write for myself and for other artists," G Flip said.

"Thank you so much Levi’s, thank you Stage and Screen and thank you for supporting Australian music. It’s so brilliant that you do this and I thank you so much."

"We believe that getting Georgia into the room and in the company of other hit songwriters gives us an opportunity to make more direct artist to artist connections and also opens the doors for features and writing for other artists," G Flip's manager, Dan Zilber of Future Classic, said.

"G’s songwriting ability, efficiency in the room and warm nature make her an incredibly successful collaborator."

Previous winners of the Levi’s Music Prize include The Teskey Brothers, Amyl & The Sniffers, Stella Donnelly, Alex Lahey and Hatchie.
