G Flip ProfileAustralian singer and musician G Flip and their partner, Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause, have announced their separation after four years together.
G Flip shared the news in an emotional Instagram post. “After 4+ years Chrishell and I are no longer together,” they wrote. “I will always love her. We will always share a special connection and I will cherish our memories together deeply.”
The Disco Cowgirl singer continued, “My head & heart are feeling very heavy right now, and I’m not able to talk but I want to thank you all for your support and appreciate you respecting our privacy at this difficult time.”
Stause also discussed the breakup on social media, via video. “I have a pretty humbling update to share with you guys. G and I are no longer together,” she began.
“We have agreed to treat this public separation with love and respect for each other. That’s not hard for me because I am in love with this person, and I don’t have all the information or the reasons.”
Stause added that, with time, she’s sure she’ll learn from the relationship and the breakup. “I know that will happen and I’m gonna heal, and everything’s gonna be fine,” she said, before vowing that she’s “definitely never doing this again.”
The television star also said she believes her fans and followers “deserved a little bit more than a cold written statement” because of their longstanding support for the relationship. “We really appreciate that. Maybe you can still do that, but it would have to be separately.”
Stause grew visibly emotional when she said she feels like a “failure” due to the separation. “There’s nothing you could say about me that would be worse than what I say to myself. I just have to kind of heal and figure this out. It’s hard. It’s painful,” she said.
At the end of the video, she concluded that as a “lover girl,” she swings and sometimes misses. “Maybe this is the life and seasons you’re meant to have with people, and I had an amazing over four years with G. Maybe that’s not a miss, you know. Maybe it’s just coming to terms with it being a different ending than you had imagined.”
She concluded, “I will always love G, and I don’t ever really see that changing. This sucks, but everyone deserves to be happy, and I wish that for both of us, so thank you.”
G Flip and Chrishell Stause married in May 2023 after they’d been dating for a year.
In 2022, Stause confirmed that she was in a relationship with the Aussie musician. She said on a Selling Sunset reunion episode: "I recently have been spending a lot of time with someone that's very important to me. Their name is G Flip. They're non-binary, so they go by they/them. They are an extremely talented musician.”
Stause added, "It started because I was just going to be in their video [for Get Me Outta Here]. And it's about this chaotic love story. I come from soaps; I love acting. And with the job that we have, I don't always get to do it. At first, of course, I was like, yes, let's do that."
After sharing their wedding news, she said, “Love doesn't always go as planned… Sometimes it's immeasurably better.”
