We are now a month away until Bayside hit Australian shores, the tour's local supports have been announced, giving y'all ample time to familiarise yourself with the each band playing your neck of the woods.
Alongside the local produce that will now be opening up these shows, main supports Young Lions & Far Away Stables are thankfully supporting every show of the tour. Seriously, don't pass up local talent like that!
Anyway, kicking off in Bunbury, of all the damn places, will be surf/skate punks Ocean Drive and Naked Wizard (a terrific name for a porno if there ever was one). Over in Perth, Dan Cribb & The Isolated and Blindspot will open up the sole WA show of the tour. As for Adelaide, the kickass melodic-hardcore locals in Coves, as well as rockers Mayweather will get the crowd warmed up. In Melbourne, pop-punk locals The Playbook and alternative rockers The Valley Ends will get things started, whilst in our nation's capital city, Autumn and Capes will kick off the night's proceedings. Now, as for the NSW punters, over in Newcastle, pop-rockers Capeside, and Yours Alone and in the state's capital, Sydney pop-punk lads Undercast and New Trends will be opening. Moving further up to our own version of the Sunshine state, Arrivals, and post-hardcore up and comers, The Comfort, will be opening the Brisbane show whilst The Lost Knight and In Eyes will help cap off for the final Bayside show of the tour.
These shows will be the band's first Aussie shows since Soundwave Festival 2015, and we'll all get to lap up the classic, older tunes, as well as a few new tracks from their latest album, ‘Vacancy’, which was released on August 19th, 2016 via Hopeless Records.
