Augie March, The Grates, Jen Cloher and heaps more
Friday Nights at NGV have unveiled another killer line-up of acts as part of this year's series, boasting performances from The Grates, Augie March, Mick Harvey and many more.
A festival that includes after-hours art, live music and various forms of entertainment plus food and drinks, this year's series kicks off at the NGV for thirteen weeks starting 24 June until 16 September.
The line-up features America's Kid Congo Powers, guitarist for Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, The Gun Club and The Cramps, rocking his newest album La Araña Es La Vida on August 26, alongside Mick Harvey on September 2 playing tracks from his latest album Delirium Tremens.
The jam-packed series also boasts ARIA-winner Clare Bowditch, indie rockers The Grates, multi-instrumentalist twins Pierce Brothers, Melbourne five-piece Augie March, collaborative musos The Painted Ladies, as well as young Brissy indie pop act The Goon Sax.
Other performances include Melbourne singer Jess Ribeiro, indie-folk band Husky, country music darlings Halfway and Melbourne singer/songwriter Jen Cloher.
The Friday Nights At NGV series will coincide with the world premiere of Degas: A New Vision, the biggest collection of the artist's works ever seen in Australia. To celebrate, the entire Friday Nights series will be themed around the 1920s Parisian café style with live jazz, food and drinks.
