Big Scary and more to join the already announced World's End Press
Live music returns to the Melbourne Now exhibition at the National Gallery Of Victoria (NGV) later this summer, following up this year's run of sell-out shows.
The exhibition itself showcases the latest art, architecture, design and culture brewing in Melbourne. Music and live performance is included as another element of the exhibition.
Bands will perform in the NGV's Great Hall on Friday nights, starting February 28. World's End Press last week announced they would be kicking this season off with another three bands now revealed to round out the series of gigs.
The Friday night sessions will feature Big Scary on March 7, Brighter Later on March 14 and Hiatus Kaiyote on March 21.

NGV Director Tom Ellwood also announced that the performances would now be free to attend: "The series will return to the NGV with a home-grown focus to celebrate Melbourne Now. The Melbourne Now gallery spaces across NGV International and The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia will be activated, matching the stellar line up in the Great Hall with special 'pop-up' talks and performances.
“Best of all, we are pleased to announce these Friday night events will be completely free.”
