Aussie punk legends Frenzal Rhomb are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their classic fourth album, A Man’s Not A Camel, today (July 9) announcing an eight-date national tour to honour it.

The trek will see Frenzal Rhomb play shows on every Friday and Saturday in October, starting with back-to-back dates in Newcastle (Muluubinba) and Adelaide (Tarntanya) on Friday October 4 and Saturday 5, respectively. They’ll head to Canberra (Ngambri) and Brisbane (Meanjin) the following weekend, before rolling on through to Torquay (Wadawurrung), Perth (Boorloo), Sydney (Gadigal) and Melbourne (Naarm).

Tickets for all eight shows are on sale now – find them here.

A Man’s Not A Camel first hit shelves in March of 1999, sporting some of Frenzal Rhomb’s most iconic tracks (like You Are Not My Friend, Never Had So Much Fun and We're Going Out Tonight). It wound up peaking at #11 on the ARIA Australian Albums chart – their highest charting position until 2017 (when Hi-Vis High Tea hit #9) – and was eventually certified Gold.

Meanwhile, Frenzal Rhomb recently made headlines when they addressed their lack of plans to tour the US, citing the hike in visa costs for international artists. “This is not good,” they said back in May. “In fact, this is an all-out DISASTER.”

The band’s most recent musical effort was their tenth studio album, The Cup Of Pestilence, which arrived last April via Fat Wreck Chords.
