Frenzal Rhomb Frontman Jay Whalley Announces Solo Tour

29 July 2014 | 6:12 pm | Staff Writer

Should we file this under a comedy or music tour?

After a few solo gigs around NSW and a trip to Hobart a couple of months ago, Frenzal Rhomb frontman Jay Whalley has announce a fairly extensive national solo tour that kicks off at the end of August.

Although known for his fast-paced, comedy-fuelled punk vocals, there have been a few occasions where Whalley has stripped things back – refer to a track from his past project with Lindsay McDougall The Self-Righteous Brothers where he sings about his “sweet hermaphrodite”.

It’s safe to say his comedic side will still be in tact on the tour, which kicks off Wednesday 20 August at Adelaide’s Grace Emily Hotel before tackling other states on the weekend’s to follow.
