We let them deliver the good news...
The Frenzal Rhomb boys have added a few more dates to their upcoming tour but we thought we'd let them announce it - this is too funny not to share with you:
"You thought FR only had one tour left in 'em? Now they have tumour! At least that was the gag we had ready to go before doctors discovered it wasn't a tumour, just tapeworm larvae in Jay's head. After Valentines Day Brain surgery Jay doesn't feel he has retained any mental or physiological deficits, but only time will tell! Perhaps the slice will be taken from his golf swing. Friend Clem thinks Jay will become racist. The quality of the shows and the very future of the group are hard to predict, so Gordy has begun work on a fallback plan… a Children's book entitled "Santa Whalley: He seizure while you're sleeping", just in case things don't pan out."
For anyone who may have missed the joke, it's been a crazy few months for the band, in particular, their frontman Jay Whalley - who recently underwent brain surgery to remove a pig tapeworm. Not so funny is the misery Whalley went through during the ordeal, which he opened up to theMusic.com.au about in a recent interview.
The good news is Whalley has fully recovered and the fun-loving punks are ready to kick-off their tour tonight at The Prince Of Wales in Bunbury. They've added three gigs in NSW, one in VIC and another in TAS to the run.
