Tickets to Fred again..’s surprise Australian tour – comprising of six arena shows and a mysterious pop-up gig – went on sale just a few hours ago... And of course, the entire lot sold out almost immediately.
ICYMI, Fred made it to Sydney (Eora) and performed a last-second show at the Opera House on Tuesday (February 27), finally bringing an end to weeks of teases, rumours and all kind of cryptic conspiracy theorist bullshit. After that show sold out in seconds and went down a bloody treat, EDM’s answer to Taylor Swift followed it up with the news that he’d do a whole run of arena shows starting next week.

The “tour” consists of three back-to-back shows at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne (Naarm) – slated for Monday March 4, Tuesday 5 and Wednesday 6 – followed by a one-off pop-up gig at a secret location on the Gold Coast next Saturday (March 9), then another trio of back-to-back shows, this time at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, on Tuesday March 12, Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14.
Tickets for the Melbourne shows went on sale at 9am and were completely exhausted by 11am. Gold Coast tickets followed at 10am and went within an hour, and Sydney tickets lasted for a little over one hour when they went live at 1pm.
For reference, Rod Laver Arena holds 14,820 punters and Qudos Bank Arena holds 21,000 – so on less than 12 hours of notice, Fred managed to sell 107,460 tickets for shows happening in just a few days... And that’s not even considering that mysterious Gold Coast show, the location for which is yet to be revealed.

In true Fred again.. fashion, the Rumble hitmaker has already teased even more shows. In an update to his Instagram Story posted yesterday (February 28), Fred cryptically wrote, “this is not the end...” and directed fans to a number they could call/text on WhatsApp: +1 917 810 3403.
We’ve heard whispers that Fred will announce at least one more Sydney show, and has something planned for a city he’s not yet performed in. Last year, he made his Australian debut on the Laneway festival lineup, performing in Melbourne, Brisbane (Meanjin), Sydney, Adelaide (Kaurna) and Perth (Boorloo).
Yesterday also saw Fred release the track stayinit, a collaboration with Lil Yachty and Overmono. It comes as his first release for 2024, following a stack of releases in 2023 including the aforementioned Rumble (with Skrillex and Flowdan), Mike (with The Streets and Dermot Kennedy), Baby again.. (with Skrillex and Four Tet), adore u (with Obongjayar), ten (with Jozzy) and leavemealone (with Baby Keem). He also dropped a full collaborative album with Brian Eno, Secret Life, last March.
