The tracks come off the heels of his latest collaborative album, Secret Life, alongside Brian Eno on Four Tet's label, Text Records, which dropped on May 5, and Actual Life 3 (January 1 – September 9 2022), which was released in October 2022.
It’s no doubt been a wild year for Fred, who not only closed out Coachella 2023 with an epic set alongside Skrillex and Four Tet at the last minute to replace Frank Ocean but has since embarked on two major tours, including a European leg that instantly sold out and an unprecedented run of eight consecutive shows at LA's Shrine Expo Hall.
He also hit up Australia earlier this year for a string of sold-out shows, during which he spoke to Purple Sneakers about his progression as a producer and DJ, as well as his love for his fans and the community in general.
“I feel very grateful and indebted to the way of the feeling that the people create at the shows,” he mused. I feel very grateful for the space that music has allowed the music to have in their lives and the role they let it play. I feel very indebted to that,” he mused.
“Everything becomes a big shared thing that I don’t take for granted.”
