With a warning, the Glasgow band have released the new video
With a parental advisory, Glasgow's energetic four-piece Franz Ferdinand have unleashed a brand new clip on the world, the band's tune Evil Eye given some gory treatment for a pretty funny exploration of classic horror.
And who wouldn't want kick-start the morning with the amputation of arms and a large man's stomach morphed into the enlarged face of frontman Alex Kapranos?
See what we mean below.
The sickly sweet video was co-produced by stomach-face Kapranos and Todd Terje, recorded London, Scotland and Oslo, and brought to life (so to speak) by U.S. film-maker Diane Martel.
Kapranos explains further: “The video is a gruesome blood orgy eye stab death romp wide-oh creep necro fest. Play this on the telly if you dare, you fuckers.”
Franz Ferdinand are set to burst Down Under for Harvest Festival – if the event stays afloat - joining a lineup including Massive Attack, Eels and Justin Vernon's Volcano Choir, to name a short few – see the initial lineup announcement and some recent additions .
The popular act released their first record in four years, Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action, earlier this year, and was given the all clear by theMusic's Pete Laurie: “…if their goal was to make another record of catchy, tight-jeaned alt-rock, Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action more than delivers”.
