Foxing stream new song, announce new album

US indie/post-rock act, Foxing, are streaming the first new song off their upcoming album, 'Dealer'.

US indie/post-rock act, Foxing, are streaming the first new song off their upcoming album, 'Dealer'.

'The Megdalene' is the new album's first single, and you can stream it below. 'Dealer' is set for release in October through Triple Crown Records. The band's frontman, Conor Murphy, told U.S. publication NPR that as he was raised in a Catholic school, the dogma and ideology of the church really affected him. He states the following about the new track.

"When I lost my virginity, I felt like it was less about love and more about sin. I have really never let go of or dealt with that guilt, which made it dark to write about. I think of 'The Magdalene' as a retrospective diary entry after losing my virginity."

Personal stuff indeed, though that's nothing new for a band like Foxing.
