Still similar in style to her other singles, Fool's Gold or Fault Line, Nothing Has Changed brings a different 90s edge while keeping the lighthearted feel that we're sure festival goers will love. The Aussie legend and activist announced the release of the song on Instagram while also revealing that a new album is set to come out sometime next year.
Mia Wray has only been cutting her teeth in the industry since 2020 but has risen to the top quickly, with her swift ability to always create a catchy beat. Today she brings out her new single, Stay Awake, which boasts strong soulful vocals and a danceable baseline that will have you moving around the dancefloor like nobody is watching. Currently on tour with Vance Joy, Wray is already climbing the ladder to stardom.
Fousheé has been the quiet achiever of the last few years, with a remixed version of her song, deep end blowing up on TikTok and then featuring on the Steve Lacy track Sunshine. Now she comes out with her album softCORE with lead single, spend the money (ft Lil Uzi Vert), keeping her hungry fans very happy. Bursting with energy, the new single is a little different from her more well-known tracks but shows a creative side with more attitude and spark. The rest of the album is also a fantastic new addition to the new wave of hip-hop/soul coming out at the moment and shows a step up from her 2021 album time machine.
Perth-based Zimbabwean-born newcomer, Adrian Dzvuke, has been dazzling people all over the country with his outstanding vocals and smooth moves. His latest song, WASSUP, only furthers the hype with its funky beats and catchy rhythm. WASSUP is a classic afro-beat pop banger that will have all the girlies dancing along in the club and singing at the top of their lungs.
New Zealand songstress Kimbra is back with replay!, a snappy, dark, hyper-pop number that's as aggressive as it is sexy. Bending through sharp synths and hyper-tuned vocals, this is definitely a different era for the Somebody That I Used To Know singer. Sitting somewhere between Banks and Imogen Heap, Kimbra is embodying this new revenge style of pop. The single is one of the first tastes we get of her upcoming album, The Reckoning.
Kira Puru has released their first piece of new music in two and a half years. It comes in the form of Talk With Me. While deeply rooted in Puru’s signature sound of playful, pop sensibilities, the track pushes them into a new era lyrically as they reflect on falling deeply in love on a dancefloor and allowing that infatuation to let your imagination run truly wild.
Kings of Australian hardcore SPEED have had one of the busiest years of 2022. They’re far from done yet, adding another track to their already cult-adored discography titled One Blood We Bleed. It follows the release of their Gang Called Speed EP and is set to feature on Flatspot Records’,The Extermination Vol. 4 compilation. The track is an ode to their community of Sydney hardcore, one that is driven by equality regardless of boundary. It’s that ethos that they define as the cultural movement currently occurring in their hometown of Sydney, one that they wear proudly on their sleeve as a Gang Called Speed.
