She is convicted of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and wounding with intent to murder.

After the axe attack inside a 7-Eleven store in inner-Sydney last year, former Everything I Own Is Broken drummer Evie Amati has been found guilty today in the New South Wales District Court.

She is convicted of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and wounding with intent to murder.

Amati had pleaded not guilty to the charges and claimed she was affected by a variety of substances and "mental derangement" at the time of the incident.

Sentencing will take place next month.
