Katie Underwood claims she has been asked to audition four times.
A former member of Aussie pop group Bardot has lashed out at producers of reality singing competition The Voice for repeatedly attempting to get her to audition on the show.
As The Daily Telegraph reports, Katie Underwood took aim at the show and its network, Channel Nine, on Facebook.
"For the fourth year running, I've been asked to audition for The Voice," Underwood wrote.
"(Yes you read that right). Once again I've reminded them that I don’t sing for free… or work for free. Unless it's for charity. Last time I checked, Channel 9 had plenty of money. #realitytvsucks #ishouldknow."
Fellow Bardot member Tiffany Wood reportedly responded to Underwood's post and claimed she too had been approached by the network.
Wood wrote. "Their pitch to me was it would be great publicity for my singing school and boost my profile".
Bardot formed in 1999 on the Popstars reality TV show and enjoyed success with their debut album, which peaked at #1 in Australia and New Zealand, as well as their first single, Poison, which also peaked in top spot in Australia and New Zealand, as well as cracked the UK Singles chart.
The group broke up in 2002.
In a new interview with Daily Mail, Underwood, who now runs a massage, reiki and sound therapy service in Melbourne, revealed that she did go through The Voice audition process last year but eventually withdrew.
"I actually did go through the audition process last year (at their invitation) and was successful to the point of receiving a contract," Underwood said.

"After that point, I withdrew as the contract was not at all favourable to me. I'm not sure why they keep asking me. Maybe it's because I'd present an interesting back story. Maybe it's because I'm a good singer. Maybe it's because they're desperate… or think I am.
"I have asked them not to ask me again unless they intend to pay me."
The only member of Bardot to maintain a public profile is Sophie Monk, who will next appear on The Bachelorette on Channel Ten later this year.
The Music has contacted Nine for comment.
