Irish post-punk band Fontaines D.C. are set to DJ at a Brisbane afterparty for their own concert on March 1. Their openers, English experimental rockers Shame, will also DJ at the event, while Brisbane locals Girl and Girl will perform a live set. GRAIN’s own DJ’s will also make an appearance.
The event, organised by GRAIN, will be held at The Brightside in Fortitude Valley following Fontaines D.C.’s concert at Riverstage earlier that night.

The Irish icons announced their Australian tour in October last year, and will hit key cities around the nation. Beginning their tour in Japan in February, the Irish rockers land in Australia for Perth Festival on Thursday, 27 February, before heading to Brisbane’s Riverstage on Saturday, 1 March, Wollongong’s Yours & Owls festival on Sunday, 2 March, the Sydney Opera House Forecourt on Thursday, 6 March, the Palace Foreshore in Melbourne on Saturday, 8 March, and wrap up the Australian dates at Golden Plains festival in Meredith on Sunday, 9 March. They’ll then perform at Auckland’s Spark Arena on Wednesday, 12 March.

Fontaines D.C. are touring Australia following the release of their fourth album, Romance, released earlier this year. Romance follows the release of the band’s critically acclaimed 2022 album, Skinty Fia, and their first-ever visit to Australia in early 2023.
