Organisers of Aussie dance event, FOMO Festival, have responded to reports that a punter was choked by a security guard at the Brisbane leg on Saturday, after footage of the incident went viral.

As reported by The Courier Mail, the footage, captured on a mobile phone by another festival-goer at Riverstage, shows two security guards holding a male on the ground, while one of the bouncer's hands can be seen around the punter's throat.

The security guard can also be seen telling others to "fuck off" as people try to intervene.

It is currently unknown as to what led to the altercation.
