Melbourne/Naarm indie outfit Folk Bitch Trio—Gracie Sinclair (she/her), Jeanie Pilkington (she/her) and Heide Peverelle (they/them)—are making waves internationally, scoring a major support slot and playing their own headline dates across the US this year.

Their North American shows come after a string of dates in the UK and Europe, including their performance at The Great Escape festival in Brighton, UK. In May, the band performed four dates in the UK and Europe, but they return for the summer festival season this August and play some headline shows.

In the US, Folk Bitch Trio will open for indie rockers Whitney and play their own shows from July through to August. In September, the group will head home for a massive run through Australia and New Zealand. You can see the tour dates below.

Folk Bitch Trio are touring in support of their debut album, Now Would Be A Good Time, set for release on Friday, 25 July, via Jagjaguwar. You can pre-order/pre-save the album here. Today, the trio present their latest single from the album, Moth Song.

A track about unrequited love, Gracie Sinclair described the emotions within Moth Song as “being so spun out by everything that you feel like you’re delusional and hallucinating crazy things.”

Now Would Be A Good Time saw Folk Bitch Trio record in Auckland with Tom Healy (Tiny Ruins, Marlon Williams) during winter 2024. The group’s strongest link, of course, is music. Jeanie Pilkington explained, “We all talked about loving music when we were growing up, and knowing we wanted music to be a big part of our lives. But for me at least, when I looked into the future, it was this relatively mysterious thing.”

It seems that Folk Bitch Trio have cracked the code of making their musical dreams a reality.
