Foals to take some time off before next record

The UK's Foals have stated in a recent interview that they'll be taking some much needed R&R before they focus on their next album.

UK outfit Foals have stated in a recent interview that they will take some much needed R&R before they focus on their next album.

The indie/rock band's most recent album, 2014's 'What Went Down', garnered the group critical and commercial acclaim, and saw the lads tour pretty damn extensively since, with a brief stop off here last month.

During the recent NME Awards (the same awards in which Bring Me The Horizon trashed Coldplay's table), which saw the band take out the award for best album, singer Yannis Philippakis said the following:

"We’ve only just put out a record so I think we’ve afforded to take some time, I don’t think there’s a rush right now. We need to live life again, that’s always beneficial to making a record. I think we need to take a break. It’s hard to predict how long that will be. We might start writing again tomorrow".

So in this inevitable wait, having a music video for 'Birch Tree' may help blow the time over.
