Flight Of The Conchords have sold out the Perth date for their upcoming Australian tour in July. As a result, they've added a second Perth show at Challenge Stadium on Thursday 19 July.
We've been assured that throughout the tour the band will be utilising the ukulele, toy piano, keytar and a 1987 Casio DG-20 electric guitar set to mandolin.
Tickets to the second show are available through Frontier Touring's website.
UPDATE: The Sydney and Melbourne shows have now sold out as well. No second dates for them as yet, but promoterFrontier Touring are asking fans to campaign for extra dates in Sydney and Melbourne.
Posting on their Facebook they write, "We need some help from you - their Aussie fans - in convincing them that additional shows in Sydney and Melbourne would be a really choice idea. We are open to committing to the following (and more!):
1. We will wear our best animal themed jumpers to the concerts, 2. We will take Bret to a local jazzercise class, 3. We will not make fun of your accents, 4. We will outdo Mel as your biggest fans 5. We will forgive you for your false portrayal of Australians in the show."
The tour dates are now as follows:
Thursday 5 July - Sydney Opera House, Sydney (sold out) Saturday 7 July - Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Brisbane Tuesday 10 July - Newcastle Entertainment Centre, Newcastle Wednesday 11 July - WIN Entertainment Centre, Wollongong Friday 13 July - Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Adelaide Saturday 14 July, The Plenary, Melbourne (sold out) Wednesday 18 July - Challenge Stadium, Perth (sold out)
