For the first time in 25 years, the original line-up of English boy band Five will be heading down under.

The group, who first formed back in 1997, announced their return to Australia today, plotting headline shows around the country next year. The 2026 trek will see the group kicking off proceedings at Perth's HPC Stadium, before dates at Sydney's ICC Theatre, the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, and Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena.

While Five are no strangers to Aussie shores, it will be their first appearance on local turf with their full, original line-up since their debut visit in 2000.

Having managed to assert themselves as one of the world's most successful and popular boy bands with tracks like When The Lights Go Out, If Ya Gettin' Down, Keep On Movin', and plenty others, with three studio albums released between 1998 and 2001.

The group would split in 2001, with its members – Scott Robinson, Ritchie Neville, Sean Conlon, Abz Love, and Jason Brown – all going their separate ways. A brief reunion in 2006 did not feature Conlon, who would return for their 2012 reunion, which in turn did not include Brown. While Love would depart in 2014, both he and Brown confirmed eventually their return to the group earlier this year.

“This has been a long time coming and it really does feel right for all of us now – 25 years on and we’re so ready for it,” Robinson said in a statement. “Reconnecting as Five over the last year has been special and I know I speak for all the boys when I say we can’t wait to do this all over again. Hope you’re ready!!”

We all love Australia,” added Neville. “I for one, lived there for several years and have such great memories from that period, so it’s extra special we get to bring our tour there next year.”

Since making their debut in Australia in 2000, Five's reunion tours have seen them visit local shores relatively regularly, with tours in 2013, 2019, 2022, and as recently as 2024. These upcoming shows, however, will be fans' first chances to catch the veteran pop icons in full for the first time in two-and-a-half decades.

Tickets to the forthcoming tour are on sale from 11am on Friday, August 29th, with a Telstra Plus member pre-sale running 48 hours from 9am, Tuesday, August 26th.
